Batsy Finds A Fishing Pole!

Issue #86, Detective Comics (April 1944)

Batman & Robin: “Danger Strikes Three!”

Moody!Monday Batfans!

For those of you who were paying attention, I did a little surprise update on Saturday via voice post. Hooray for randomness! If you haven’t listened to it yet, you should. Particularly if you’re wondering about my excursions into Dishonored and my mini review on Mockingbird Lane. I also explain just why I was absent last week. (more…)

Snarkstress Speaks. Literally.

No, really.

I thought with last week’s hiatus (which will be extending until the 17th, because, vacation) that I should post a little somethin’ somethin’ for you to listen to.

Because I don’t feel like typing.

Because I am both lazy, and sleepy.

So you get me. Talking TO you.

How excited are we?

Considering how long it’s been since I uploaded something like this, I thought it time. (Also? Lazy!Snarkstress is lazy.)

In any event, enjoy. And I’m thinking of making this a regular thing… let me know in the comments if you want to hear more, or if I should just stick to typing it all out.

Batsy Gets Mental

Issue #70, Detective Comics (December1942)

Batman & Robin: “The Man Who Could Read Minds!”

So it’s late. And I apologize. But it must mean that I love y’all something fierce if I’m able to put aside my cranky pants about server outages when I tried to post before and give you some premium Bat!Snark on this fine, fine Tuesday evening.

Let’s not dawdle. I’ll be all chatty on Thursday. (more…)

Batsy Gets Pranked

Issue #69, Detective Comics (November 1942)

Batman & Robin: “The Harlequin’s Hoax!”

Moody!Monday Tempestuous!Tuesday, Batfans. Apologies for being a day late. A migraine yesterday put me out of commission.

I have to admit, I was a bit trepidatious about doing this post. For those of you who haven’t already heard, at a Friday morning premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, one of the dregs of society decided it was time to gain his 15 minutes of fame by tear gassing and opening fire in a packed theater in Aurora, Colorado. He claimed 12 lives and injured 60 more theater goers, including children, and effectively sucked the joy out of going to see TDKR for many fans. Warner Bros was stunned, hell, the whole country was, and now there’s another gun control /violence in comics and movies debate raging in the media. (more…)

Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC

And now a word from Snarkstress’ current addiction…

We will return you to your regularly scheduled Batsy next Monday because OMG I can’t stop playing this game! Seriously, we picked it up on Saturday and I’ve been playing it since. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was fun, but beatable in about 12 hours for me. Can’t wait for the next one and Dawnguard is filling that void nicely. I haven’t turned on the voice capability yet, almost afraid that I’ll start randomly Dragon Shouting people in real life. As it is, this DLC is turning me from a hack n’ slash gamergirl into a total stealthy archer. I think all the FPS practice with recent games is making me a better shooter. Heh. Perhaps I need to get myself to a gun range? In any event, I thought you deserved an update about my latest obsession. I’ll try to get Emo!Thor done this week and talk more about all the news dropped at SDCC from the Marvelous Marvelites. So much awesome announced! *runs back to the Xbox to slay more dragons* Snarkstresssig

Emo!Thor Dances With Death?

Issue #178, The Mighty Thor (July 1970)

The Mighty Thor “Death Is A Stranger!”

Thundering!Thursday, Emo!Thor Enthusiasts!

**Snarkstress Note: Apologies. Things got a little out of hand around here, and though I had this set up to post, I put the wrong date. SORRY!**

Tomorrow, my Dragon celebrates a birthday! The macaroni to my cheese is jazzed about having the day off from work and we have big plans to get our paws on Lollipop Chainsaw and do whatever else his birthday-endowed heart wants to do. Like… eating cupcakes. Lots of them. Because I’ll be making them tomorrow with apples and pecans and yummy butter cake. It’s a change from his normal spice cake request, but it IS his birthday, so, whatevs, right? (more…)

The Return Of Bat!Snark

Issue #64, Detective Comics (June 1942)

Batman & Robin: “The Joker Walks The Last Mile!”

Moody!Monday, Batfans!

Didja miss me? Because I missed YOU!

Things got really hectic around here for a while. Between working, book stuffs, Geek Treats stuff, and a myriad other tiny things that turned into BIGGER things, I decided it was time to take an impromptu break and recoup. It’s been almost a month since the last update (not counting the one last week that had NO snark to speak of), but I’ve learned that it’s better to take time off than to try to force snark that isn’t easily forthcoming. (more…)

*Cricket Symphony*

WTF is going ON, Snarkstress?

Thunderous!Thursday, Emo!Thor Enthusiasts!

That happened.

I’ve been terribly remiss due to madness surrounding the book and the distribution thereof, recording/releasing all of the chapters on audio, setting up the new geek-treats site (and making more of them!) and Dragon’s Dogma eating up my attention span when work  (and all of the above) isn’t keeping me entirely too busy for sanity.

But! I promise to bring you fresh Bat!Snark and Emo!Thor next week.

In the meantime, if you’ve a hankering to hear ye olde Snarkstress read chapters one and two from Minutes To Midnight (NOW available on the Nook and through Smashwords, soon to be available through, and on iTunes!) by visiting the Nemesis website via clicky here!

And until Monday, have a fabulous Father’s day and a restful weekend!

Emo!Thor Gets Thermal!

Issue #170, The Mighty Thor (Nov. 1969)

The Mighty Thor “The Thunder God And The Thermal Man!”

Thunderous!Thursday, Emo!Thor Enthusiasts!

I’ve been working. A lot. And it’s hard to find the time to snark when you’re kicking your own ass making money. (more…)

Happy Publishing Day! (Leap Year Day too!)

Well, for us anyway!

Yes, I did mention that we were “working on a project” and that there would be news announced shortly about said project… TA DA!

Minutes To Midnight
The Nemesis Chronicles, Volume 1

Yes. We have officially been published. It’s a joint venture. We’ve been working on it FOREVER it seems, and now that it’s finally here, I can hardly believe it.

You can buy the e-book version on amazon there at the link NOW or, should you prefer to have an actual hard copy, I’ll provide the amazon link for that as well once it goes live in a day or two.

Oh. Mah. Gawd, y’all. Seriously. PUBLISHED!

We chose today, February 29th, 2012 because what better day than a rarity that only comes along every four years in, supposedly, the last year of existence? Heh. (more…)
