How wrong is it of us to think we’ve accomplished quite a bit this weekend despite the fact we really didn’t leave the house at all? It’s odd, but with the amount of time we spent playing DCUO and hashing out a really fantastic new direction for the book we’re working on, we somehow ended up being exhausted.
On the DCUO front, I’ve leveled up another character to 30, which brings THAT tally to three 30th level characters, one 25th level character, one 22nd level character, and one waaaay down at 7th level. It’s a process, people. Although, I will admit one thing: I’m getting slightly bored with the missions (having gone through them as often as I have, given the above) so it’s become a personal mission to get through them as quickly as possible. This, naturally, comes about by way of making sure I level the hell up 2 or 3 levels above the mission level, just to ensure I don’t get my ass handed to me every 10 minutes or so.
I know. It’s all just crazy. I’ve got my eye on Batman: Arkham City, which, if you haven’t played the first one, you seriously need to get on the ball. Also? TRAILER! SO excited about that! And Dragon Age 2. I haven’t played Dragon Age yet, but from what I hear, it’s pretty awesome, so it’s on my list.
I sit back and realize that over the past year, I’ve turned into Ms. Geeky McNerdynerd. I accept this. Behold my inner zen. (No really, I bought it at Think Geek.) Between the gaming, the book, the comics, Big Bang Theory, Star Trek, and various RPGs, I think Dragon has finally accepted this new me. Not that he really has a choice in the matter, but unconditional adoration is something that never goes out of style. And my Dragon, he has it.
Speaking of new…we’re about to turn a corner we’ve been delaying for entirely too long. We’re going to get a gym membership. *cue the gasps of horror* Yes indeed. We’re both tired of not being in top physical form, and until the weather stops being all drippy and glum, we’ve decided to haunt a local gym for a bit. Price is reasonable, he’s going for the weight room, I’m going for the treadmill/nautilus machines. It’s win/win. The hardest part? Actually following through. Meh. We’ll see where it goes.
So, here it is, 12am on Monday, the first day of spring (or was that yesterday?). Either way, spring has, er, sprung, and here’s hoping I can do more to bring you content that, while it may not be exciting, doesn’t consist entirely of just Emo!Thor et al.
And I totally need to be in bed. The cats are going to expand until I’m left with just a sliver of mattress upon which to snooze.
